The Board shall:
(a) Provide advice and recommendations to the Mayor and City Council on policy issues relating to urban forestry.
(b) Advocate and formulate proactive urban forestry policies, ordinances, and guidelines.
(c) Prepare a recommended comprehensive urban forestry master plan and conduct a tree inventory.
(d) Review and comment on the coordination of urban forestry-related policies and programs.
(e) Network with other boards, agencies, and community residents.
(f) Act as a general information resource and promote volunteerism.
(g) Review and comment on the implementation and compliance with urban forestry policies and programs.
(h) Promote and seek funding for the establishment and sustaining of an urban forestry program.
(i) Promote and foster a strong sense of community through urban forestry.
