18-29-702.1.1 Mixed-occupancy buildings. Where the plumbing system in a mixed-occupancy building uses both combustible and noncombustible drainage and vent pipe materials in accordance with Table 18-29-702.1, the noncombustible pipe material shall extend as least 4 inches (102 mm) beyond the fire-resistance-rated assembly separating the residential occupancy from other areas of the building that are not eligible to use combustible pipe materials.
