Sec. 14-85. - Payment of fine. Payment of a fine to the general violations bureau shall be deemed an acknowledgement of conviction of the alleged offense, and the bureau, upon accepting the prescribed fine, shall issue a receipt to the violator acknowledging payment thereof and releasing the violator from further prosecution for that specific offense. (Code 1950, § 155.4)
