Sec. 202-604. - Charter school board established. (a) The charter school board is hereby established. (b) The board shall be composed of not fewer than five (5) members, each of whom shall be appointed by the mayor for a term of one (1) year. (c) Members of the board shall reside or be employed in the county. (d) Members of the board shall serve at the pleasure of the mayor and are eligible for reappointment. (e) Members of the board shall serve without compensation. (f) The mayor shall appoint a chair of the board, though the board may designate a member to serve as acting chair in the absence of a designation by the mayor. The board may designate a member as a vice-chair and a secretary. (G.O. 54, 2011, § 1)
