SEC. 8A-4. LICENSE REQUIRED. (a) A person commits an offense if he owns or operates a boarding home facility in the city without a valid license issued under this chapter. A separate license is required for each boarding home facility that a person operates. (b) It is a defense to prosecution under this section if a person operates a boarding home facility while an application under Section 8A-6 is pending. (c) It is a defense to prosecution under this section if a person operates a facility listed in Section 8A-5 of this chapter. (Ord. Nos. 28706; 29753; 32397)
