Sec. 29-87. - Liability of contractor and sureties for defective work. A contractor whose work is completed by the city shall, on completion of the work and according to the certified bill of the cost thereof to be prepared by the director of building inspections, pay to the city, on its order, the cost of the work for all of which the sureties on the contractor's bond shall be liable as such sureties.
