780.10. Violation of section; misdemeanor, penalty. Sec. 10. Penalty for non-compliance with preceding section. Any officer who shall deliver to the agent for extradition of the demanding state a person in his custody under the governor's warrant, in wilful disobedience to the last section, shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and, on conviction, shall be fined, not more than 1,000 dollars or be imprisoned not more than 6 months or both. 1937, Act 144, Eff.
