§ 40-205. - No repeal nor impairment of prior vested rights. The provisions of this ordinance shall not repeal nor impair any vested rights acquired by any Elected Official, officer or Employee under any prior resolution, ordinance or statute. Vested rights are considered to be the rights held and exercised by officers, Employees, retirees and spouses, prior to the effective date of this ordinance, to purchase hospital and medical benefits, accident, health, dental and life insurance.
