Denver Revised Municipal Code § 49-386 Construction.

Sec. 49-386. - Construction. A marquee shall be supported entirely from the building and constructed as specified under types of construction in the building code and shall be of incombustible material or of not less than one-hour fire-resistive construction. (Code 1950, § 331.14-5)

Denver Revised Municipal Code § 49-387 Projection and clearance.

Sec. 49-387. - Projection and clearance. (a) The horizontal clearance between a marquee and the curb line shall be not less than two (2) feet. (b) A marquee projecting more than two-thirds of the distance from the property line to the curb line shall be not less than twelve (12) feet above the ground or pavement below. (c) A marquee projecting less than two-thirds of the distance from the property line to the curb line shall be not less than eight (8) feet above the ground or pavement below. (Code 1950, § 331.14-2)

Denver Revised Municipal Code § 49-388 Length.

Sec. 49-388. - Length. A marquee projecting more than two-thirds of the distance from the property line to the curb line shall not exceed twenty-five (25) feet in length along the direction of the street. (Code 1950, § 331.14-3)

Denver Revised Municipal Code § 49-389 Thickness.

Sec. 49-389. - Thickness. The maximum height or thickness of a marquee measured vertically from its lowest to its highest point shall not exceed three (3) feet when the marquee projects more than two-thirds of the distance from the property line to the curb line and shall not exceed nine (9) feet when the marquee is less than two-thirds of the distance from the property line to the curb line. (Code 1950, § 331.14-4)

Denver Revised Municipal Code § 49-390 Roof.

Sec. 49-390. - Roof. (a) The roof or any part thereof of a marquee may be a skylight provided wire glass is used not less than one-fourth inch thick with no single pane more than eighteen (18) inches wide. (b) Every roof and skylight of a marquee shall be sloped to downspouts which shall conduct any drainage from the marquee under the sidewalk to the curb. (Code 1950, § 331.14-6)

Denver Revised Municipal Code § 49-391 Location prohibited.

Sec. 49-391. - Location prohibited. Every marquee shall be so located as not to interfere with the operation of any exterior standpipe or to obstruct the clear passage of stairways or exits from the building. (Code 1950, § 331.14-7)
