Sec. 261-201. - Director. The director of the department of public works shall be appointed by the mayor subject to the approval of the city-county council as required by IC 36-3-5-2 to serve at the pleasure of the mayor for a term ending December 31st of the year the appointment is effective and until a successor is appointed and qualifies.
