Sec. 13-16-18. - Guarding of excavations posing hazard to public—Restoration of public property—Posting of bond. All excavations for building any sewer installation shall be adequately guarded with barricades and lights so as to protect the public from hazard. Streets, sidewalks, parkways and other public property disturbed in the course of the work shall be restored in a manner satisfactory to the city. The posting of a bond of appropriate value may be required to safeguard the interest of the city with regard to damage to public property. (Code 1985, § 33-78; Ord. No. 4023, § 1, 3-26-1991; Ord.
