in effect1.08.060 - Fines and costs—Discharged when.
When the judgment against the defendant is for a pecuniary fine and the costs of prosecution, he shall be discharged from the same when the amount of such fine and costs has been fully paid, when the same has been remitted by the proper authorities; or, when the defendant has remained in custody the length of time required by law to satisfy the amount of such judgment.
