Section 6.1-7 - POWER TO SUBPOENA WITNESSES. The Commission shall have the power to subpoena witnesses, require the production of evidence and administer oaths. The Council shall provide, by ordinance, penalties for contempt for failing or refusing to obey a subpoena or to produce evidence, and shall have the power to punish any of these acts of contempt in the manner provided in the ordinance. Costs incident to actions under this section shall be borne by the party requesting the subpoena.
