Las Vegas Municipal Code § 13.52.010
in effect13.52.010 - Purpose.
In order to promote the health, safety, convenience and general welfare of the inhabitants of the city and to improve the aesthetic appearance of the City, the purpose of this Chapter is to require that existing overhead distribution lines needing replacement shall be placed underground and to require that the distribution lines serving all new developments shall be located underground, unless exempted or waived from the provisions of this Chapter.
