6.36.010 - Privileged business finding—Chapter 6.06 compliance. The City Council finds that the business of providing escorts seriously affects the economic, social and moral well being of the City and its residents, that such business must be regulated strictly for the welfare of the public, and that such businesses must therefore comply with Chapter 6.06. Las Vegas Municipal Code § 6.36.020 Definitions.

6.36.020 - Definitions. Unless the context otherwise requires the following words shall have the meaning ascribed to them: (A) "Escort" means any person who, for a salary, fee, commission, hire, or profit, makes himself or herself available to the public for the purpose of accompanying other persons for social engagements. (B) "Escort bureau" means any business, agency or person who, for a fee, commission, hire, or profit, furnishes or arranges for escorts to accompany other persons for social engagements. (C) "Escort patron" means any person who seeks the services of an escort bureau. (D) "Escort runner" means any person who, for a salary, fee, hire, or profit, and who is not a licensed owner of an escort bureau or is not an escort acts for an escort or escort bureau by contacting or meeting with escort patrons to make social engagements for escorts.
