Sec. 55-61. - Vehicle identification number inspection services.
The vehicle impoundment facility of the Denver Sheriff's Department shall offer two (2) vehicle identification number (VIN) services to the public, for the convenience of the public, to assist with the registration and titling of vehicles:
(1) A VIN verification for out-of-state vehicles needing to be registered in Colorado shall be performed for a $25.00 per vehicle charge.
(2) A certified VIN inspection shall be performed for a cost of forty-five dollars ($45.00) per vehicle for the first hour of inspection, or fraction thereof, and twenty dollars ($20.00) for each additional half hour that is required to perform the inspection on a vehicle.
