in effectA "hospital" is an institution that maintains and operates facilities for inpatient medical care, including x-ray, laboratory and surgical, for the diagnosis, care and treatment of human illness, injury and disease (physical or mental). Outpatient care may also be provided. (Ord. 26248.)
