§ 10-837. Sale or Transfer of Ammunition. (1) Any person that sells ammunition for a firearm, pistol, revolver, rifle or shotgun shall make a report to the City of Philadelphia Police Department of all of the following within seven (7) days of each such sale: (a) Description of the purchase, including type and quantity. (b) Name and address of purchaser. (c) Date of purchase. (2) The City of Philadelphia Police Department shall establish and maintain a registry of reports received under this Section. Notes 311 | Added, Bill No. 040118-A (approved May 9, 2007). Section 2 of Bill No. 040118-A provides: "This Ordinance shall become effective upon the enactment of authorizing legislation by the Pennsylvania General Assembly." Enrolled bill numbered this as Section 10-834; renumbered by Code editor.
