Sec. 35-398.02.5. - Prohibition of Detention Facilities from Certain Uses. (a) Applicability. No detention facility shall be allowed to operate within one thousand (1,000) feet of a residential area, a primary or secondary school, property designated as a public park or public recreation area, or a church, synagogue, or other place of worship. Facilities operated by a school district, hospital, medical clinic, or municipal law enforcement shall not be subject to this prohibition. (b) Method of Measurement. Distance shall be measured in a direct line from property line to property line. (Ord. No. 2026-04-16-0257, § 2, 4-16-26)
