Fort Worth City Code § 2-119 ESTABLISHMENT AND SUPERVISION.

§ 2-119 ESTABLISHMENT AND SUPERVISION. A department of human resources is hereby established. The department shall be under the supervision of the director of human resources, who shall be subject to appointment and removal by the city manager. The salary of the director of human resources shall be in accordance with the compensation plan of the city. (Ord. 24030-02-2020, § 8, passed 2-4-2020)

Fort Worth City Code § 2-120 APPOINTMENT OF EMPLOYEES.

§ 2-120 APPOINTMENT OF EMPLOYEES. In accordance with established personnel procedures and as provided by the city budget, the director shall have the authority to appoint, employ and remove assistants, employees and other personnel as the director deems necessary for the efficient administration of the department's affairs and the execution of the department's duties and obligations. The director shall prescribe the duties of and compensation to such assistants, employees and other personnel. (Ord. 24030-02-2020, § 8, passed 2-4-2020)

Fort Worth City Code § 2-121 DUTIES.

§ 2-121 DUTIES. The director of human resources shall act to coordinate activities within the department. The director shall provide overall management functions for the department, including fiscal control, human resource programs and administration of the city's human resource management program in accordance with the provisions of this chapter and the state civil service law for firefighters and police officers, and in cooperation with other city departments.
