Oklahoma City Municipal Code § 38-368 Prohibited in certain areas.

§ 38-368. - Prohibited in certain areas. (a) Intake tower and spillway. No fishing shall be permitted within 500 feet of the intake tower or walkway to the tower or concrete spillway section of the dam located at the Atoka Reservoir-Reservation. (b) Culture pond or spawning area. No fishing shall be permitted upon any culture pond or spawning area now established or which hereafter may be established. Oklahoma City Municipal Code § 38-369 Archery fishing.

§ 38-369. - Archery fishing. (a) The following species may be taken by bow and arrow: bluegill, redear and green sunfish, warmouth, rock bass, carp, buffalo, flathead catfish, drum, river carpsucker, gar, paddlefish, and all other fish not listed as gamefish. (b) No bow lighter than 30 pounds shall be used and no arrow with more than one point with no more than four barbs on the point shall be permitted. One end of a line not lighter than 40-pound test shall be attached to the arrow, the other end of the line to be attached either to the bow or to a fishing rod with reel. (c) Archers shall be permitted to shoot from reservoir banks, boats, or while wading in shallow water but in no case shall be permitted to shoot in the direction of other archers, fishermen, buildings, boats, or in any direction except downward into the water. Such fishing shall be permitted between sunup and midnight only. No fish shall be left in the water or at any other place on the Atoka Reservoir-Reservation; the removal and disposition of fish taken shall be the sole responsibility of archer-fishermen. (d) All State and Federal regulations regarding the use of the bow and arrow for the taking of such fish and snakes shall be observed by the archer. Oklahoma City Municipal Code § 38-370 Use of unbaited hook to snag fish.

§ 38-370. - Use of unbaited hook to snag fish. The practice of "snagging" or "pulling" or "jerking" an unbaited hook through the water for the purpose of hooking or snagging fish is hereby prohibited. (Code 1970, § 23-109(h); Code 1980, § 38-370)

Oklahoma City Municipal Code § 38-371 Restrictions on game fish.

§ 38-371. - Restrictions on game fish. (a) No game fish from the Lake Atoka Reservoir-Reservation shall be used as bait. (b) It is unlawful to take game fish of any length in any waters by means other than by hook-and-line. (c) The angler may take game fish within the limits shown below in any one day from midnight to midnight. When measuring fish, length is measured from the tip of the snout to the end of the tail, with the fish laid flat on a ruler, mouth closed and tail lobes pressed together. Provided, however, in no event shall any person take, catch, or kill any fish in violation of the method of taking, length limits, and bag limits as set by the Wildlife Conservation Commission of the State of Oklahoma, or in violation of the restrictions in this section. Oklahoma City Municipal Code § 38-372 Fisherman's floats.

§ 38-372. - Fisherman's floats. (a) As used in this section, a "fisherman's float" is any device designed to keep a fisherman afloat in an upright position in the water, ordinarily consisting of protectively covered circular, inflated rubber tube or styrofoam float, with a saddle-type seat, in which the fisherman is seated while wearing watertight rubber waders. (b) No person shall use a fisherman's float in the Atoka Reservoir-Reservation except during daylight hours. (c) All fisherman's floats, whether owned privately or otherwise, shall be inspected and approved by the Chief Ranger or his assistant prior to their initial use in the Atoka Reservoir-Reservation, and annually thereafter. (d) Approved fisherman's floats may be used on the lakes at the Atoka Reservoir-Reservation only in the following areas: coves, necks and within 100 feet of the shorelines where not otherwise prohibited by ordinance. (e) All persons using fisherman's floats shall wear Coast Guard approved personal flotation devices at all times when operating floats on the Atoka Reservoir-Reservation.
