29.17 - BUILDING INSPECTION DIVISION OF THE DEPARTMENT OF PLANNING AND COMMUNITY AND ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT. There is hereby established a Building Inspection Division of the Department of Planning and Community and Economic Development. The Building Inspection Division shall be responsible for the supervision of the plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and building codes of the City of Madison, the safety inspection of all premises, including structures and appurtenances located thereon, the enforcement of the zoning ordinances, and shall include the work of City Weights and Measures Officials. The Building Inspection Division shall be under the supervision of the Director of the Building Inspection Division. (Rpld. and Recreated by ORD-21-00024, 3-26-21)
