2157.02 - Power to declare a snow emergency. The mayor is authorized to declare a "snow emergency" whenever the United States Weather Bureau forecasts two (2) inches of snow in a short period of time and there is the prospect of additional snow, or when ice has accumulated to the extent that it is impairing the safe movement of vehicular traffic within the city. The emergency shall exist from the time it is formally announced until the time it is formally cancelled. (Ord. 2479-94: Ord. 2120-03 § 1 (part).)
