§ 35-191. - Non-applicability of this division. (a) The provisions of this division shall not be applied to an impounded vehicle whenever the duly elected district attorney with jurisdiction over the matter informs the City that he/she will seek forfeiture of the vehicle under 21 O.S. § 1738 (forfeiture of a vehicle used for violations of the drive-by shooting statute) or under any other forfeiture proceedings as may be allowed by law. (b) The exception set forth in Subsection (a) of this section shall be applied from and after the date on which the prosecuting district attorney informs the City that he/she will seek forfeiture of the vehicle under 21 O.S. § 1738.
