in effect§11.0103 Interpretation of Chapter — Article and Section Numbers
In reading a Section number from left to right, the first digit shall designate the Chapter of this Code, except that whenever Chapters above nine are indicated the first two digits shall designate the chapter. The second digit, or the third digit, where chapters above nine are indicated, shall designate the Article number. Whenever no Divisions are indicated, all numbers to the right of the first decimal point reading from left to right shall designate the Section numbers within each Article. Whenever Divisions are indicated, the first two numbers shall designate the Divisions, the next two numbers shall designate the Section. Whenever Subsections are indicated, they shall be designated by numbers to the right of the second decimal point reading from left to right.
