Movable awnings or hoods may have combustible coverings supported on incombustible frames attached to the building.

Sec. 49-402. - Projection and clearance.
(a) A movable awning or hood may extend over the public property not more than two-thirds of the distance from the property line to the nearest curb in front of the building site.
(b) The lowest part of any movable awning or hood frame shall be not less than eight (8) feet above the grade immediately below, and the lowest part of any fringe attached to such awning or hood shall be not less than seven (7) feet above the grade immediately below.

Sec. 49-403. - Schedule of fees for awning erection.
The fee for a permit to erect an awning as required by section 49-356 shall be:
(1) For each awning extending over an area in the public streets and sidewalks of twenty-five (25) square feet or less, three dollars ($3.00);
(2) For each awning extending over an area in the public streets and sidewalks of more than twenty-five (25) and not exceeding fifty (50) square feet, six dollars ($6.00);
(3) For each awning extending over an area in the public streets and sidewalks of more than fifty (50) and not exceeding one hundred (100) square feet, nine dollars ($9.00);
(4) For each awning extending over an area in the public streets and sidewalks of more than one hundred (100) square feet, nine dollars ($9.00), plus two dollars ($2.00) for each fifty (50) square feet or fraction thereof in excess of one hundred (100) square feet;
(5) Fees for permits to remodel the frames of awnings shall be one-half the original erection fee as fixed in this section; provided, that to replace the cover of an awning shall not be considered remodeling within this section and therefore no fee shall be charged.
