El Paso City Code § 12.72.010 Headlight and signal requirements.

12.72.010 - Headlight and signal requirements. No person shall cause, permit or suffer any railroad locomotive or train to run or move in the nighttime within the city without having a headlight, or cause, permit or suffer any railroad locomotive or train to run at any time without causing the proper signals to be given. (Prior code § 20-155)

12.72.020 - Operation within designated areas restricted. A. No person shall operate any railroad car or locomotive in or across Sunset Drive or Country Club Road, where the streets intersect the right-of-way of the Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railroad, at a speed greater than thirty miles per hour. B. No person shall operate any railroad car or locomotive on any part of the right-of-way of said railroad between Sunset Drive and Country Club Road at a speed greater than thirty miles per hour. C. No person shall operate any railroad car or locomotive in or across Doniphan Drive on the spur track authorized by Ordinance No. 3439 at a speed greater than ten miles an hour. D. No person shall operate any railroad car or locomotive in or across Doniphan Drive on said spur track between the hours of seven-thirty a.m. and eight-thirty a.m., nor between the hours of two-thirty p.m. and four p.m., on any week day, Monday through Friday. E. Any person violating this section shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and punished as provided in Sections 1.08.010 through 1.08.030. (Prior code § 20-148)

12.72.030 - Operation on approach of emergency vehicles. All persons in charge of railroad trains, shall immediately upon the sounding of a fire alarm, or upon the approach of an authorized emergency vehicle cause such trains to leave all street crossings clear, and to keep such street crossings clear of such trains until such emergency vehicle shall have cleared such crossings.
