Indianapolis-Marion County Revised Code § 111-302
in effectSec. 111-302. - First ward.
The first ward of the city shall be described as follows:
Beginning at the intersection of Temple Avenue and East Thirty-eighth Street; running thence east on and along the centerline of Thirty-eighth Street to the centerline of Emerson Avenue; running thence south on and along the centerline of Emerson Avenue to the centerline of Interstate 70; running thence southwesterly on and along the centerline of Interstate 70 to the centerline of Sherman Drive; running thence south on and along the centerline of Sherman Drive to the centerline of Twenty-first Street; running thence west on and along the centerline of Twenty-first Street to the centerline of Dearborn; running thence north on and along the centerline of Dearborn to the centerline of Thirtieth Street; running thence west on and along the centerline of Thirtieth Street to the centerline of Eastern Avenue; running thence north on and along the centerline of Eastern Avenue to the centerline of Thirty-second Street; running thence west on and along the centerline of Thirty-second Street to the centerline of Temple Avenue; running thence north on and along the centerline of Temple Avenue to the centerline of Thirty-eighth Street, said point being the place of beginning.
