Sec. 2-112. - City records declared public property. All city records as defined in section 2-111 of this Code are hereby declared to be the property of the City of Houston. No city official or employee has, by virtue of his or her position, any personal or property right to such records even though he or she may have developed or compiled with them. The unauthorized destruction, removal from files, or use of such records is prohibited. (Ord. No. 91-88, § 1, 1-16-91)
