12.16.040: PHYSICAL INCAPACITY OF DRIVER; DUTY OF OCCUPANT: Whenever the driver of a vehicle is physically incapable of giving immediate notice of an accident as required in section 12.16.010 of this chapter, or its successor, and there is another occupant in the vehicle at the time of the accident capable of giving such notice, such occupant shall give or cause to be given said notice and shall remain at the scene of the accident until authorized to leave by a police officer.
