It shall be unlawful for a person to modify, remove or in any way damage a school flasher signal or pedestrian safety flasher signal without the approval of the deputy director of engineering. The penalties applicable to this ordinance are as provided in Section 1.08.010 of the general code provisions of the City of El Paso, which provide for a fine not exceeding five hundred dollars per violation as may be affected by state law or as may be changed from time to time by the city council.
