Sec. 111-1. - Consolidated city and police special service district boundaries. The territory of the consolidated city as established by statute included all the territory of Marion County, Indiana, except that within excluded cities or towns on January 1, 1970. Pursuant to applicable law the boundaries of the consolidated city and the police special service district have been changed as follows: (1) Annexation from the City of Beech Grove. The following described territory is annexed to the consolidated city: Part of the northwest quarter of section 33, township 15 north, range 4 east, in Marion County, Indiana, more particularly described as follows: Commencing at the northwest corner of the said northwest quarter section; thence south 00 degrees 12 minutes 12 seconds east along the west line of said quarter section 929.01 feet to a point in Lick Creek (as located April 1978), said point lies north 00 degrees 12 minutes 12 seconds west 325.01 feet from a point on the said west line which lies north 89 degrees 47 minutes 48 seconds east 0.3 feet from the northeast corner of an existing concrete monument, said monument assumed to be that monument as depicted on the site plans of the Timbers I recorded March 26, 1974, as instrument no. 74-16967 and the amended site plan recorded August 13, 1975, as instrument no. 75-43359 in the office of the recorder of Marion County, Indiana; thence south 72 degrees 24 minutes 17 seconds east 89.63 feet to a concrete monument set at a point which lies north 15 degrees 47 minutes 48 seconds east 309.61 feet from the said point on the west line of the said northwest quarter section which lies north 89 degrees 47 minutes 48 seconds east 0.3 feet from the northeast corner of said concrete monument, said point being the northwesterly corner of the said Timbers I as depicted on said site plans; thence north 72 degrees 17 minutes 17 seconds east along the northerly line of said Timbers I 402.67 feet to a concrete monument set at the northwesterly corner of the Timbers II as depicted on the site plan, recorded August 30, 1974, as instrument no. 74-55300 and the amended site plan recorded August 13, 1975, as instrument no. 75-43360 in said recorder's office and shown therein to be contiguous with the said Timbers I (the next two (2) courses are along the northerly line of the said Timbers II as depicted on said site plans); thence north 46 degrees 26 minutes 06 seconds east 372.14 feet to a concrete monument set; thence south 48 degrees 00 minutes 48 seconds east 266 feet to a concrete monument set at the northwesterly corner of the Timbers III as depicted on the site plan, recorded August 15, 1975, as instrument no. 75-43967 and the amended site plan, recorded April 21, 1977, as instrument no. 77-21075 in said recorder's office and shown therein to be contiguous with the said Timbers II; thence north 88 degrees 00 minutes 00 seconds east along the northerly line of said Timbers III 195 feet to a concrete monument set at the northeasterly corner thereof; thence north 78 degrees 00 minutes 00 seconds east 70 feet to a concrete monument set; thence south 72 degrees 00 minutes 00 seconds east 235 feet to a point in existing Beech Creek; thence south 27 degrees 53 minutes 37 seconds east 303.46 feet to a concrete monument set; thence south 23 degrees 00 minutes 00 seconds west 135 feet to a concrete monument set; thence south 40 degrees 00 minutes 00 seconds east 89.06 feet to the place of beginning, which place of beginning lies on a line 1100 feet west of and parallel with the east line of the said quarter section, said line being the existing corporation limit of the city of Beech Grove, Indiana, per general ordinance no. 20, recorded as instrument no. 69-65580 in said recorder's office and which place of beginning also lies on the northerly line of a tract of land depicted as "The Timbers, Section Five" in a quitclaim deed to Salcor, Inc., recorded May 31, 1978, as instrument no. 78-032962 in said recorder's office (the next four (4) courses being along the boundaries of said land); thence south 40 degrees 00 minutes 00 seconds east 86.82 feet to a concrete monument set; thence south 67 degrees 34 minutes 50 seconds east 230.86 feet to an iron rod set; thence south 22 degrees 25 minutes 10 seconds west 242.33 feet to a concrete monument set at an angle point on the northern line of right-of-way for Interstate 465 (as located April, 1978) per right-of-way grant to the State of Indiana, recorded August 11, 1961, in volume 1876, page 67, and re-recorded April 26, 1963, in volume 1990, page 486, in said recorder's office, said angle point being depicted as 100 feet left of center line ZZ at station 518+50 per plans on file in the office of the state highway department of Indiana; thence north 87 degrees 44 minutes 10 seconds west along said right-of-way line 176.06 feet to a point on the aforesaid line which lies 1100 feet west of and parallel with the east line of said quarter section; thence north 00 degrees 08 minutes 06 seconds west along said line 371.61 feet to the place of beginning; containing 1.5 acres, more or less. (2) Disannexation to Beech Grove. a. Phase I: Part of the southwest quarter of section 33, township 15 north, range 4 east of the second principal meridian in Perry Township, Marion County, Indiana, more particularly described as follows: Commencing at the southwest corner of said southwest quarter; thence south 88 degrees 29 minutes 55 seconds west on and along the south line of said southwest quarter, and the south line of a tract of land conveyed to the consolidated City of Indianapolis by deed recorded in the office of the recorder of Marion County as instrument no. 83-14303 a distance of 1232.75 feet to a point, said point being the southwest corner of aforesaid tract of land; thence north 01 degrees 30 minutes 05 seconds west a distance of 50.00 feet to the point of beginning; said point also being the northwest corner of aforesaid tract of land; also, said point being the southeast corner of a tract of land conveyed to Faith United Church of Christ by deed recorded in the office of the recorder of Marion County as instrument no. 79-24465; also, which point is the southwestern most corner of a tract of land conveyed to Willow Glen Apartments, an Indiana limited partnership, by deed recorded in the office of the recorder of Marion County as instrument no. 82-38541; (the following two (2) courses are along the common boundary line of said Faith United Church of Christ and Willow Glen Apartments); thence north 01 degrees 30 minutes 05 seconds west a distance of 370.00 feet; thence south 88 degrees 29 minutes 55 seconds west parallel to the south line of said southwest quarter a distance of 120.00 feet to a point, said point being the southeast corner of a tract of land conveyed to Willow Glen Apartments, phase II, an Indiana limited partnership of Marion County by deed recorded in the office of the recorder of Marion County as instrument no. 85-31689; (the next two (2) courses are along an east and a south boundary line of said tract of land); thence north 01 degrees 30 minutes 05 seconds west a distance of 423.05 feet; thence north 88 degrees 29 minutes 55 seconds east parallel with the south line of said southwest quarter a distance of 275.32 feet to a point on a line 1100 feet west of and parallel with the east line of said southwest quarter, said line being the existing corporation limits of the city of Beech Grove, the description of which is recorded in the office of the recorder of Marion County as a part of instrument no. 69-65580; thence south 00 degrees 03 minutes 35 seconds west on and along said line a distance of 793.35 feet to a point, said point being on the south line of aforesaid Willow Glen Apartments and the north line of aforesaid tract deeded to the consolidated City of Indianapolis; thence south 88 degrees 55 seconds west on and along said south and north line and parallel with the south line of said southwest quarter a distance of 133.70 feet to the point of beginning, containing 3.7964 acres (165,371.1840 square feet) more or less. b. (3) Disannexation to town of Speedway. A part of the northwest quarter of section 36, township 16 north of range 2 east in Marion County, Indiana, being more particularly described as follows, to-wit: Beginning at the northwest corner of said quarter section at a found bolt; thence north 89 degrees 05 minutes 45 seconds east upon and along the north line of said quarter section 130.00 feet to a point; thence south 14 degrees 58 minutes 33 seconds east 1368.422 feet to a found concrete marker on the south line of the north half of said quarter section (said point also being 172.00 feet west of the northwest corner of block Z in Speedway Cunningham Park as recorded in plat book 28, page 190 in the office of the recorder of Marion County, Indiana); thence south 89 degrees 26 minutes 58 seconds west upon and along the said south line 483.62 feet to the southwest corner of the north half of said quarter section and a found masonry nail; thence north 00 degrees 00 minutes 00 seconds upon and along the west line of said quarter section 1324.54 feet to the place of beginning. A part of the northwest quarter of section 36, township 16 north, range 2 east in Marion County, Indiana, more particularly described as follows: Beginning at a point in the north line of said quarter section, 130 feet east of the northwest corner thereof, running thence southeastwardly to a point in the south line of the north half of the aforesaid northwest quarter, said point being 172 feet west of the northwest corner of block Z in Speedway Cunningham Park, an addition to the town of Speedway, Marion County, Indiana as recorded in plat book no. 28, pages 190, 191, 192 and 193 in the office of the recorder of Marion County, Indiana; thence eastwardly along and with the aforesaid south line of the aforesaid half quarter section, and the north line, and the north line extended, of the aforesaid Speedway Cunningham Park to a point which is 235.1 feet west of the southeast corner of the aforesaid half quarter section; thence northwestwardly parallel to the center line of Cunningham Road, and 230 feet southwestwardly therefrom 1213.1 feet; thence northwardly 203.9 feet to a point in the north line of the aforesaid northwest quarter section, said point being 185 feet west of the aforesaid center line of said Cunningham Road; thence westwardly along and with said north line 60 feet; thence southwardly and southeastwardly parallel to, and 60 feet westwardly therefrom, the easterly bounds of the within described tract as follows: southwardly 215 feet; thence southeastwardly 537 feet to a point; thence southwestwardly at right angles 90 feet; thence southwestwardly at right angles 30 feet; thence northeastwardly at right angles 90 feet; thence southeastwardly parallel to the easterly line of the within described tract aforesaid; and 60 feet westwardly therefrom, 563 feet; thence westwardly parallel to the south line of the aforesaid north half of the northwest quarter aforesaid, and 60 feet north therefrom 1435 feet; thence northwestwardly 1000 feet to a point which is 380 feet east of the westwardly line of the within described tract measured at right angles to said westwardly line; thence northwardly 305 feet more or less to a point in the north line of the aforesaid quarter section, said point being 495 feet east of the place of beginning; thence westwardly along and with the aforesaid north line 495 feet to the place of beginning, containing 16.95 acres more or less. The following territory is transferred to the City of Lawrence: Part of the west half of the southwest quarter of section 20, part of the southeast quarter of the southeast quarter of section 19, all in township 17 north, of range 5 east in Marion County, Indiana, more particularly described as follows: Beginning at a point in the centerline of Fall Creek Road (as established December, 1979) which bears south 89 degrees 20 minutes 49 seconds west 244.45 feet from the southeast corner of said southeast quarter quarter section (the next six courses are along said Fall Creek Road); (1) thence north 25 degrees 12 minutes 00 seconds east 94.41 feet; (2) thence north 30 degrees 57 minutes 14 seconds east 239.67 feet; (3) thence north 31 degrees 16 minutes 24 seconds east 148.92 feet to a point on the west line of the west half of the southwest quarter of said section 20, said point bears north 00 degrees 30 minutes 16 seconds west 415.47 feet from the southwest corner of said west half; (4) thence continue north 31 degrees 16 minutes 24 seconds east 21.73 feet; (5) thence north 30 degrees 45 minutes 00 seconds east 250.00 feet; (6) thence north 31 degrees 15 minutes 18 seconds east 12.71 feet to a point on a curve having a radius of 509.00 feet, the radius point of which bears south 31 degrees 35 minutes 44 seconds west; thence southerly along said curve 247.95 feet to a point which bears north 59 degrees 30 minutes 20 seconds east from said radius point; thence south 30 degrees 29 minutes 40 seconds east 258.37 feet to a curve having a radius of 509 feet, the radius point of which bears north 59 degrees 30 minutes 20 seconds east; thence easterly along said curve 535.03 feet to a point on the south line of the west half of said southwest quarter section, said point bears south 00 degrees 43 minutes 13 seconds east from said radius point; thence south 89 degrees 16 minutes 47 seconds west upon and along said south line and the centerline of E. 79th Street 890.13 feet to the southwest corner of said half quarter section; thence south 89 degrees 20 minutes 49 seconds west along the south line of said southeast quarter quarter and said centerline 244.45 feet to the place of beginning, containing 7.16 acres more or less. (5) Disannexation to City of Beech Grove. The following territory is transferred to the City of Beech Grove: Part of the southwest quarter of section 28, township 15 north, range 4 east in Marion County, Indiana, more particularly described as follows: Beginning at a point on the north line of the said quarter section north 88 degrees 38 minutes 02 seconds east 330.00 feet from the northwest corner thereof; thence continue north 88 degrees 38 minutes 02 seconds east along the north line of the said quarter section 1239.41 feet to a point on a line 1100.00 feet west of and parallel with the east line of the said quarter section, said line being the existing corporation limit of the City of Beech Grove, Indiana; thence south 00 degrees 19 minutes 26 seconds east along said corporation line 677.00 feet; thence south 88 degrees 38 minutes 02 seconds west parallel to the north line of the said quarter section 1239.67 feet to a point that is 330.00 feet east of the west line of the said quarter section; thence north 00 degrees 18 minutes 05 seconds west parallel to the said west line 677.00 feet to the place of beginning, containing 19.262 acres, more or less. (6) Disannexation to City of Beech Grove. The following territory is transferred to the City of Beech Grove: A part of the Southeast Quarter and a part of the Northeast Quarter of Section 21 Township 15 North Range 4 East of the Second Principal Meridian, Marion County, Indiana, more particularly described as follows: Commencing at the Southeast corner of the Southeast Quarter of Section 21 Township 15 North Range 4 East thence North 00 Degrees minutes 00 seconds East (assumed bearing) 1447.72 feet with the east line of said Southeast Quarter thence South 90 Degrees 00 Minutes 00 seconds West 234.99 feet, measured perpendicularly to said East line to the POINT OF BEGINNING of the property herein described.
