3.49.010 - Purpose.

The purpose of this chapter is to authorize the City of Riverside to impose assessments or charges or both on businesses within a parking and business improvement area which is in addition to any assessments, fees, charges or taxes imposed by the City and to use such proceeds for the benefit of businesses within such area by doing any and all of the following: A. General business promotions. B. Business activities. C. Promotion of events. D. Advertising to promote District businesses. E. Electronic LED display sign operation and maintenance. F. Maintenance and repair of entryway monuments, pods and landscaping. G. Physical improvements.
