6.09.020 - Definitions.

As used in this chapter, the following words and phrases shall have the following meanings: A. Food Handler Certificate shall mean a statement issued by the County of Riverside Department of Environmental Health certifying that a person has satisfactorily demonstrated his or her competency in food safety principles and practices. B. Food handler manual shall mean the manual prepared and distributed to food handlers by the County of Riverside Department of Environmental Health that describes acceptable procedures and safe and healthy practices as it pertains to the retail food service industry, or any other format of training as approved by the Department. C. Department shall mean the Riverside County Department of Environmental Health, its Director or his/her designated representative.
