Section 11.1. - Purpose and intent.

A. This chapter is intended to define terms used in the Land Development Code (LDC) and provide clarity in the LDC. B. Unless the context clearly indicates a different meaning, the following definitions shall be used to interpret the provisions of the LDC. C. Words whose meanings are self-evident as used in this Code are not defined here. Undefined terms that are commonly used may be defined using a dictionary. Words used in the present tense shall include the future; the singular includes the plural, and vice versa. D. Certain definitions may not be in alphabetical order and may be organized according to a common term or subject heading. E. The definitions in the Article may be different from the definitions used in the City of Cape Coral Code of Ordinances.
