591.30. - Zoning study.
The upper Mississippi River Study Area of the city, defined as all M1, M2, and M3 zoning districts located within three hundred (300) feet of the Mississippi River between Broadway and 37th Avenue Northeast on the east side of the river and between Broadway and 53rd Avenue North on the west side of the river is hereby declared to be an interim zoning study area, with respect to the establishment or expansion of industrial uses and development. The planning department is directed to commence a study of the effects of the establishment or expansion of any use or development in the M1, M2, or M3 districts within the study area and to propose such amendments to the comprehensive plan or official zoning controls that the planning department deems necessary.
