Sec. 8-11. - Same—General duties.

The managers and clerks shall hold the election at the voting places for which they are respectively appointed. The managers shall take care that the election is conducted fairly and agreeably to law; they shall be the judges of the qualifications of electors, and shall discharge all other duties required by law, the municipal charter and this Code, of inspectors or managers of elections. The clerks shall keep a record of the names of the electors voting, shall keep count in the usual way, by tally sheets, of all the votes cast and announced by the managers for each and all of the candidates, and perform such other duties as are usually required of clerks of election.
