Sec. 2-27. - Same—Bonds.

No officer or employee of the city, or any other person acting in behalf of the city shall be authorized to receive funds due the city or to give any receipts therefor, other than authorized personnel. All city officers and employees handling or having access to municipal funds, shall be bonded in an amount not less than the minimum required by state law, and as established from time to time by the board of aldermen. The premiums due on bonds required under the provision of this section shall be paid out of municipal funds.
