LOCATION, GENERAL LAYOUT, DRIVEWAY AND FACILITY REQUIREMENTS FOR RECREATIONAL VEHICLE PARKS

Oklahoma City Municipal Code § 31-111 Compliance.

§ 31-111. - Compliance. All new recreational vehicle (RV) parks shall fully conform to the standards established in this chapter and the planning and zoning code. Existing RV parks need not conform unless it is so stated. A change to expand the existing area of a park shall not be permitted unless any such additions conform to the standards herein established. Oklahoma City Municipal Code § 31-112 Drainage.

§ 31-112. - Drainage. All RV parks shall be located on a well-drained site, properly graded to insure rapid drainage and freedom from stagnant pools of water. Drainage shall not endanger any water supply. (Code 1980, § 31-112; Ord. No. 18826, § 1, 8-25-87)

Oklahoma City Municipal Code § 31-113 Access street.

§ 31-113. - Access street. The park shall front or have direct access to a street meeting minimum design standards for at least an arterial street, as designated on the adopted transportation plan for Oklahoma City. (Code 1980, § 31-113; Ord. No. 18826, § 1, 8-25-87)

Oklahoma City Municipal Code § 31-114 Recreational vehicle spaces.

§ 31-114. - Recreational vehicle spaces. (a) Space for each unit required. There shall be provided in every recreational vehicle park a permanent, paved hard-surfaced space for each recreational vehicle which will occupy the park on either a permanent or temporary basis. The space or pad on which a recreational vehicle is parked shall be constructed of asphaltic or portland cement concrete. (b) Recreational vehicles shall be parked in spaces so that at the nearest point they shall be ten feet from the service road, five feet from all property lines, and at least ten feet from any other recreational vehicle or mobile home. Oklahoma City Municipal Code § 31-115 Driveways.

§ 31-115. - Driveways. (a) All recreational vehicle spaces shall abut a driveway which shall have unobstructed access to a public street or highway. (b) All driveways shall be constructed with a minimum of two inches of asphaltic concrete on six-inch compacted subbase. If on-drive parking is prohibited, the drive shall be no less than 20 feet in width. If on-drive parking is permitted, the drive shall be no less than 26 feet in width. (Code 1980, § 31-115; Ord. Oklahoma City Municipal Code § 31-116 Parking facilities.

§ 31-116. - Parking facilities. For each RV space there shall be at least one parking space located either on or adjacent to the RV space. (Code 1980, § 31-116; Ord. No. 18826, § 1, 8-25-87)

Oklahoma City Municipal Code § 31-117 Screening and landscaping.

§ 31-117. - Screening and landscaping. (a) Sightproof screening shall be provided along all property lines, except where traversed by driveways. Sight triangles shall be observed. (b) Landscaping shall be provided in accordance with Section 59-6600 of this Code. However, there shall be no requirement as to the amount of the required landscaped area that shall be in the front or side yards of the site. (Code 1980, § 31-117; Ord. No. 18826, § 1, 8-25-87)

Oklahoma City Municipal Code § 31-118 Density.

§ 31-118. - Density. The maximum density shall be 20 recreational vehicle spaces per acre, unless stipulated otherwise in Chapter 59 of this Code. (Code 1980, § 31-118; Ord. No. 18826, § 1, 8-25-87)

Oklahoma City Municipal Code § 31-119 Service building.

§ 31-119. - Service building. At least one service building shall be provided in each RV park to house shower and bathroom facilities. Service buildings shall: (1) be located no less than 25 feet from any RV space, and no more than 300 feet from any non-served RV space. A "non-served" space is one that does not have a water and sewer hookup. (2) be of permanent construction and adequately lighted. (3) be of moisture-resistant material, to permit frequent washing and cleaning. (4) have all rooms well ventilated with all openings effectively screened. (Code 1980, § 31-119; Ord. Oklahoma City Municipal Code § 31-120 Bathroom facilities required.

§ 31-120. - Bathroom facilities required. The following sanitary facilities are required: (1) toilets for males: four toilets; in addition, for every 25 non-served spaces, an additional toilet shall be provided. Urinals may be acceptable for ⅓ of the toilets required. An equal number of lavatories shall be provided for all toilets and urinals. (2) toilets for females: four toilets; in addition, for every 25 non-served spaces, an additional toilet shall be provided. An equal number of lavatories shall be provided for all toilets. (3) showers for both sexes: Each sex shall be provided with at least two showers with individual dressing accommodations. In addition, there shall be one additional shower for each sex for every ten non-served RV spaces or fraction thereof. (4) each toilet for females and each shower with individual dressing accommodations for females shall be in a private compartment or stall. (5) the toilet and other sanitation facilities for males and females shall either be in a separate building or shall be separated, if in the same building, by a soundproof wall. Oklahoma City Municipal Code § 31-121 Manner of waste disposal.

§ 31-121. - Manner of waste disposal. Waste from showers, bathtubs, flush toilets, urinals, lavatories, slop sinks and laundries in service and other buildings within the parks shall be disposed of in a manner approved by the Health Officer. (Code 1980, § 31-121; Ord. No. 18826, § 1, 8-25-87)

Oklahoma City Municipal Code § 31-122 Wrecked or damaged recreational vehicles.

§ 31-122. - Wrecked or damaged recreational vehicles. (a) Wrecked, damaged or dilapidated RVs shall not be kept or stored in an RV park. (b) The Health Officer, Building Official, or Fire Marshal may determine an RV to be damaged or dilapidated and unfit or unsafe for human occupancy. (c) Whenever such a determination is made, the RV shall be vacated and removed from the premises. (Code 1980, § 31-122; Ord. No. 18826, § 1, 8-25-87)
