Sec. 11-16-25. - Yield intersections. Whenever a yield right-of-way sign has been placed at or near an intersection, all drivers approaching such sign shall proceed with caution, slowing down or stopping if necessary so as not to interfere with traffic moving on the intersecting street and such drivers shall not proceed into the intersecting street until such movement can be made with safety.
