El Paso City Code § 3.44.010 Amount of fee.

3.44.010 - Amount of fee. The city comptroller or any collection agency retained by the city to collect delinquent accounts may add a one-time collection fee of twenty-one percent to any qualified gross account receivable balance. (Ord. 14700 § 1 (part), 2000)

El Paso City Code § 3.44.020 Qualified accounts.

3.44.020 - Qualified accounts. All accounts receivable which have been owed to the city for more than sixty days shall be qualified accounts for the purpose of this section excluding: (a) accounts owed to the city pursuant to leases, contracts or other agreements entered by the city which specifically enumerate different collection fees, and (b) accounts owed to the city which are not subject to a collection fee because of federal, state or local laws. (Ord. 14700 § 1 (part), 2000)

El Paso City Code § 3.44.030 Other remedies.

3.44.030 - Other remedies. The collection fee shall be assessed in addition to, and not in lieu of, any other interest or charges which may be allowed by law, and shall not limit any other remedy which may be available to the city with regard to any outstanding obligations of the debtor, or causes of action the city may have with regard to the underlying debt. (Ord. 14700 § 1 (part), 2000)
