Oklahoma City Municipal Code § 54-221 Required; transfer.

§ 54-221. - Required; transfer. (a) No person shall operate as a dealer thereof in secondhand or used precious metals or gems without a license issued by the Supervisor of Licenses. (b) A separate license shall be required for each location, place or premises used for the conducting of a secondhand precious metals or gems business and each regulatory license shall designate the location or place or premises to which it applies. In addition, such business shall not be carried on or conducted in any other place than that designated in or by such regulatory license; such license shall not be transferable. (Ord. Oklahoma City Municipal Code § 54-222 Application.

§ 54-222. - Application. (a) Applicants for the license required by this division shall present to the Supervisor of Licenses a precious metals or gem dealer's license issued by the State of Oklahoma and, in addition, shall file with the Supervisor of Licenses a sworn application in writing on a form to be furnished by the Supervisor of Licenses. The application shall include but not be limited to the following information: (1) the full name and address of each individual applicant. (2) the applicant's business address or addresses, if more than one. (b) Along with the written application, the applicant shall obtain from the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation and provide to the Supervisor of Licenses a current Oklahoma criminal history information report. The criminal record is considered current if it is dated no more than 30 days prior to the date on which the applicant submits a completed application to the Supervisor of Licenses. (Ord. Oklahoma City Municipal Code § 54-223 Fingerprinting and photographing.

§ 54-223. - Fingerprinting and photographing. Each individual applicant for a license required by the provisions of this division shall submit to fingerprinting and photographing by the Police Department. (Ord. No. 16149, § 4(c), 3-31-81; Code 1980, § 54-153)

Oklahoma City Municipal Code § 54-224 Persons eligible.

§ 54-224. - Persons eligible. No license required by this division shall be issued to any applicant who has been convicted of any felony or a crime involving fraud, theft or receiving or possession of stolen property in the five years immediately preceding the date of the license application. Oklahoma City Municipal Code § 54-225 Fee.

§ 54-225. - Fee. A person making application for the license required by the provisions of this division shall pay to the City Treasurer the fee established in Chapter 60, the General Schedule of Fees. (Ord. No. 16149, § 10, 3-31-81; Code 1980, § 54-155)

Oklahoma City Municipal Code § 54-226 Bond.

§ 54-226. - Bond. Before a license shall be issued to a secondhand precious metals or gems dealer, the applicant shall execute a satisfactory bond with a surety licensed to do business in Oklahoma payable to the City in the sum of $10,000.00, conditioned upon the faithful compliance by the applicant, his servants, agents or employees with all applicable ordinances and laws, and conditioned further to indemnify and to save the City harmless from damages arising from the failure of the applicant, his or its servants, agents or employees to comply faithfully with all applicable ordinances and laws. Any person who obtains a judgment against any such applicant which is not satisfied may obtain an assignment of rights of the City upon said bond and may then bring an action thereof in any court having jurisdiction. Oklahoma City Municipal Code § 54-227 Term.

§ 54-227. - Term. A license issued pursuant to the provisions of this division shall expire as provided in § 26-11, unless sooner suspended or revoked. (Ord. No. 16149, § 2, 3-31-81; Code 1980, § 54-157)

Oklahoma City Municipal Code § 54-228 Revocation.

§ 54-228. - Revocation. The conviction of any dealer for any felony or crime involving fraud, theft, or receiving or possessing stolen property or for any violation of this article shall constitute grounds for immediate revocation of the license issued to him pursuant to the provisions of this article.
