Sec. 2-25. - Limitation for compensation payments for on the job injuries where payments are derived from general funds or sources receiving general funds. A city employee who is injured on the job and is entitled to receive compensation payments for such injury shall not receive more than his base salary, plus longevity, during the period that he is entitled to receive such compensation payments where the payments are made from general funds of the city or from any source whatsoever which receives general funds of the city.
