San José Municipal Code § 20.200.1330
in effect"Vending machine" means any unattended self-service device which, upon insertion of a coin, coins, or token, or by similar means, dispenses anything of value including any food, beverage, goods, wares, merchandise or services. (Ord. 26248.)
