11.10.260 - Failure to timely file claim of exemption. If the defendant—judgment debtor fails to timely file a claim of exemption or fails to appear at the scheduled hearing to resolve the validity of the claimed exemption, title and/or lawful possession of the property taken pursuant to the writ of execution may be transferred in satisfaction of the judgment and expenses of enforcing such judgment as provided by Chapter 21 of the Nevada Revised Statutes. If such property is sold, any amount received in excess of the judgment and expenses shall be returned to the judgment debtor as provided by Chapter 21 of the Nevada Revised Statutes.
