§ 43-8. - Chief of Police to assign officers to divisions; responsibility of officers. The Chief of Police shall make all assignments and reassignments of officers to the various divisions of the Police Department. Officers having supervisory control of such divisions shall be directly responsible to the Chief for the efficient performance of the functions and duties of their respective divisions, and for the official conduct of the personnel under them. (Code 1970, § 2-92; Code 1980, § 43-9)
