§23.1701 Policy (Rule XVI, Section 1 of the Rules of the Civil Service Commission) It shall be an unlawful employment practice for an appointing authority to fail or refuse to hire or to discharge any individual, or otherwise to discriminate against any individual with respect to compensation, terms, conditions, or privileges of employment, because of such individual’s race, color, marital status, religion, sex, sexual orientation, national origin, age, or disability.
