Purpose of Site Plan Review
Jackson Zoning Ordinance § 1201-A
in effectSite Plan Review shall be required, as stated by the provisions of this Ordinance, to ensure
compliance with City zoning and other ordinances on large scale and other projects, to
expedite procedures necessary for the obtaining of building permits, to provide the
developer with a central review of a development proposal, to conserve the time and
efforts of City employees in the various departments, and to provide for a speedy
processing of applications for building permits on large scale and other projects.
