San José Municipal Code § 20.90.440
in effectNo off-street loading space required by this part shall be closer than fifty feet to any lot or parcel of land in a residence district unless such off-street loading space is wholly within a completely enclosed building or unless enclosed on all sides by a wall not less than eight feet in height.
