Satellite Dish Antennas in Residential Districts
Jackson Zoning Ordinance § 1103.01-A
in effectSatellite dish antennas accessory to a permitted use may be located in any residentially
zoned district under the following conditions:
1. The satellite dish antenna shall be ground mounted.
2. The satellite dish antenna shall not be located in any required front or side yard.
3. Only one (1) satellite dish antenna shall be permitted per lot.
4. Satellite dish antennas with a diameter measuring less than one (1) meter may be
installed in a manner consistent with typical television antennas.
5. Satellite dish antennas shall be used for private noncommercial purposes.
6. Satellite dish antennas shall be screened from ground view from the street and from
7. Adjacent properties by a six (6) foot high wood or masonry fence or by natural plants
or trees of equal minimum height so planted as to provide maximum opacity.
